New Colors! And iPod Touch BrickCases!

 Hi folks,

Well, the pics say most of it.   Several new colors (some not pictured here) are hot off the press.

The yellow probably won't make it on this first run, the color match isn't close enough for Ogel.

The new colors are:  Red, Blue, Pink, Transparent Pink and Lime Green.

Also, we've added a BrickCase for the iPod Touch (2010 and later models) in all the above colors, plus Black.

We're back!

Hi folks,

Well, a lot has changed since April (the last blog post here was in April, nearly 6 months ago).

We decided to move production of the BrickCase 4 (iPhone) and BrickCase for iPod Touch (4th gen) out of China, and back to the USA.

Then we decided to move ourselves back to the mainland.

We're now located in Austin, TX, and both the manufacturing of the BrickCases and the packing for them (which has changed from the simple bag we used previously to something much more "retail-friendly") are located within 30 miles of our office.

Yes, the iPod Touch BrickCase is still ... unreleased. We're still doing some test runs to perfect the process (pressure, time in the mold before release, etc.) to get to a perfect product, and the last-minute details (e.g. translations to Spanish and French are pending) on the packaging straightened out.

And... we're going to our first trade-show. If you are at the TIA Fall Toy Preview, drop by booth #4219 and see what else we have under wraps.

And yes, we know that the iPhone 5 will likely launch while we're at the show.

More soon!

We want braaainz!

(OK, kidding.)

But we do want to see your awesome MOCs!  If you have a build you're particularity proud of, we would love to share it with the world.  Just put a photo of your creation on flickr, and 'tag' it with 'brickcase'.  We'll find it (automatically!  aren't computers cool?!?) and load it into our "customer action shots" gallery.

iPod Touch case voting contest

OK BrickFans,

I have a few renderings for the iPod Touch (4th generation) case.  Essentially there are (currently) two ideas.  The first surrounds the camera lens with a depression that fits an 8-tooth Tecnic gear.  (Yes, the depression is the same size as an actual Tecnic gear, so it will fit inside the hole.)

The second is a minifig face.  The two renderings here show the face with, and without an 'outline' to set it off from the rest of the case.

Comment below, or send e-mail.  Let us know what you prefer.

Verizon iPhone BrickCase 4 fit confirmed

Thanks to John Gruber, we now have confirmation that the BrickCase 4 "perfectly fits" the Verizon/CDMA version of the iPhone 4.

The Verizon iPhone 4

Yes, we're as excited as you are that Apple and Verizon have joined like two 2x2 plates.

And we want to be sure that the BrickCase4 will fit the Verizon iPhone 4.

Based on our analysis of the photos we've seen, we believe that it will.

If it doesn't, we'll be making changes to the case (possibly two versions, but we'd prefer one), pronto.
